An Android smartphone can either be updated automatically or manually. In case of automatically, one can update his/her phone and tablet from the settings, where they can just tap the update button. 1.    Backup your data

2.    Enter Setting

5.    Search for an update

Now your phone will start to search any latest available updates. If it doesn’t turn out like this and you navigate to some other menu then just check some other software update button and click it. If there would be an update, then it would just ask you to install them. Otherwise, it will tell you that your device is already updated to its latest version. 

There is one more thing to keep in mind, never try to download updates via mobile data, and always download them with Wi-Fi connection, as the size of the file could be very large. So if you will download it via mobile data connection than it will cost you a lot amount of money.
