How to deal with the syllabus topic-wise?
1.
Series. After a thorough analysis of previous year question papers
we have observed that most of the questions are asked from series. In this type
of question you are given series of numbers which are interconnected. You need
to identify the pattern which makes the solving easy. It various involve patterns
such as:
- Prime Numbers.
- Squares/ Cubes.
- Patterns in differences.
- Pattern in alternate numbers.
- Geometric series.
- Odd one out.
- Cube roots/ square roots.
Do not try to solve it quickly
rather given some time to reach accuracy level. In case you are out of practice
then you will take more than 15 minutes with no accuracy. It will not give you
good result. Therefore you are advised to practice as much as you can. Give a
thorough review of basics of SBI Clerk Test series and
solve at least 10 questions daily for a month. It will improve your speed and
basic understanding of the concepts.
2.
Data Sufficiency.
These are statement and
conclusion based questions. It does not involve calculations but you have to
read all the statements and probable conclusions given to reach to the accurate
answer. Do not try it randomly, understand the statement and then look for the
solution.
3.
Data Interpretation.
Data Interpretation is an
important part of the quantitative aptitude section. One question is definitely
asked from DI and sometimes even more. Understand the question and then try to
solve it. In case you give a casual read it will give you a wrong answer. Check
all the options before marking the right answer. It needs accuracy and speed
which you can acquire by practicing maximum times.
After extensively practicing
these sections you should practice one hour daily to master the concepts. Each
and every topic should be practice by taking subsequent topic tests involving
minimum of 50 questions.
Analyze your performance and
seek the help of subject expert to improve your weak areas.
Join online mock test series
and solve one each day to identify the topics frequently asked in the exam.
Set a timer before starting any
test to master time management.
